• Candidates who successfully complete Section A and B of Associate Membership Examinations
conducted by the professional bodies i.e. The Aeronautical Society of India, The
Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, The Institution of Civil
Engineers (India), The Institution of Electrical & Computer Science Engineers
(India) and The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (India) are treated at par with
those holding a degree in respective engineering branch for recruitment to superior
posts and services under the Central Government.
• Students are eligible for postgraduate studies
(M.E. / M.Tech) after successfully appearing and cracking the GATE examination.
• Students are also eligible for post graduation
studies like MBA, MCA etc.
• Students can appear in various examinations
like the Railways, Banks, BSNL etc.
• Student can go abroad to various countries like USA, U.K, Australia, ect.
• Students who have completed these courses
have gone abroad for further studies.
• Aeronautical Engineering students who have successfully completed Section A and
B examinations of the Society are occupying responsible posts in HAL, Indian Airlines,
Air India, Pawan Hans, DRDO, NAL, Aeronautical Development Establishment, Civil
Aviation Department, ONGC, IAF, Army, Navy, Coast Guard and some more of the reputed
organisations and establishments.
• Students who have successfully completed
section A and B examination of the IETE are occupying responsible posts in Defence
forces and also in Private / Public Sector companies including Wipro, Infosys, TCS,
BSNL etc.

In case of Aeronautical Engineering the job prospects are much brighter than
other engineering branches because negligible number of Engineering Colleges are
awarding B E (Aeronautical) and also there are many Air Lines who have started their
own operations, which is a potential factor for job prospects.
