Gp Capt HK Arora is an highly qualified, trained and experienced officer in Aeronautical Engineering field of the Indian Air Force (IAF). He joined the IAF after completing Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Branch. After initial training in Aeronautical Engineering at Air Force Technical College Bangalore, he was posted to a field unit where he got further specialised training to work in British origin bomber aircraft squadron. During his long and illustrious service of 35 years with the IAF, he had been actively associated with servicing and maintenance of British origin aircraft, Russian helicopters and fighter aircraft such as MiG-21, MiG-23 and MiG-27s. He also has the experience of working in Base Repair Depots responsible for repair, overhauling and production of helicopters and transport aircraft. He developed a vast working and supervising expertise required towards functioning of Aviation Industry. Some of the important appointments held during his career with the IAF include Engineering Officer and Senior Technical Officer of operational squadrons, Chief Engineering Officer of one of the most operational Air Force base.

He  had  also  been  managing  overall  production,  training  activities  and  associated  administrative  tasks  as Commanding Officer of a Repair Depot and also that of an important Training Institute. Towards recognition of his sincerity, loyalty and contributions for timely achieving allotted production tasks, he was commended by the Chief of Air Staff. During his active service, Gp Capt HK Arora pursued higher studies as well and completed M Tech in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He is also an alumnus of Air Force Administrative College Coimbatore, College of Defence Management , Secundarabad and Defence Services Staff College Wellington. He was awarded a Post Graduate degree M Sc in Defence Studies by Madras University . He has also participated in number of special tasks, seminars and is a life member of The Aeronautical Society of India, New Delhi .

On behalf of the Directors, Col L S Nirban (Retd) Advisor Administration and myself, I would like to introduce Ahmedabad Institute of Aeronautical Engineering & Information Technology (AIAEIT) as one of the well equipped, highly skilled staffed and most efficiently managed Institute in the field of Engineering. With an aim to achieve the highest level of concentration, determination and commitment of students, the management of this Institute has always been endeavouring to provide best teaching faculties, exceptional environment and excellent infrastructure. Same has been effectively instrumental to ensure nurturing of essential attributes to empower the young and upcoming individual's mind with sense of competition. This has been possible only through well planned, disciplined and systematic approach followed at all levels, which includes top management, teaching faculties and also the most capable administrative staff.

Mission of this Institute has always been to transform young and energetic students into highly knowledgeable, confident and professional engineers to meet futuristic challenges of highly competitive world by imparting intensive studies, practical training through well established Computer & Electronics Laboratories, thorough and appropriate guidance  and  most  vigorous  sense  of  discipline  as  an  holistic  approach  towards  overall  development  of  the students.

This is the fifth year of the Institute as it started functioning since July 2005. However, with the past experience and expertise of the Founder Directors and Technical Director in running similar type of Institutes at other places, Institute has taken off in an highly satisfying manner since beginning. I am sure that the Institute will excel very rapidly as it has achieved excellent results compared to other various Institutes in the same field, existing already for last couple of years.
